The Nifty 50/50’s With Mic
Skullcandy makes some pretty cool headphones, although they have a large selection, ranging from lower level quality, to some pretty sweet higher quality headphones. I would consider the 50/50 model to be closer to the lower end, they are not bad headphones, but are definitely entry level. These headphones would be best if your looking for a pair on a small to medium sized budget, or just looking for a pair of backup headphones you can use in all kinds of situations. I used to have a great pair of Skullcandy headphones back in the day, that I used for snowboarding, and I loved them.
Check out my Skullcandy 50/50 review video:
These in-ear headphones come in a small box. Right after I unboxed them i noticed they felt somewhat cheaper then my current Skullcandy Titans. The main difference between the two was material. The 50/50’s are an all plastic construction, while the Titans are encased in hefty titanium. The 50/50’s felt very light weight and kind of fragile, as the plastic did not seem to be of high quality, very different compared to the plastic used on these amazing Bose QC20i in-ear headphones. Now, this was my first impression on these headphones, after putting them through some use it was apparent that Skullcandy had at least maintained some descent sound quality, and added some important features.
The Skullcandy 50/50’s now come with an anti-tangle cable, which in my opinion saves one hell of a headache, and makes the 50/50’s much more enjoyable to use, especially when on the go. They also implemented mobile talk along the cable, with track and volume control. The cable is flat (anti-tangle) and is your average 3.5 feet long, its also thick, making breaking it a non issue.
The Sound Is Sharp
The one thing I did like about these headphones is the audio quality. Since I’ve owned Skullcandy headphones they have always produced pretty good sound, especially in the bass department. And since these Skullcandy 50/50’s are also noise-cancelling, they provide a very enjoyable sound experience. The sound is full and rich, allowing you to get deeply immersed into your favourite tracks.
If your looking for a descent pair of in-ear headphones, the Skullcandy 50/50’s could be a good option for you. I will add a product link bellow, click on it to read more personal reviews, and for a discounted price.
