Bowers & Wilkins P7 Over Ear Headphones Review

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Over Ear Headphones Review

Classy Construction – Full Leather and Metal

This is one of my first reviews on  a pair of Bowers & Wilkins headphones, it also happened to be their top model, the P7. I was blown away upon first look and test, they have a very classic style to them, and over all feeling of great craftsmanship. These headphones left a very good impression on me, and stand out as one of a kind. I will explain in more detail bellow, my experience and thoughts about the Bowers & Wilkins P7 Over Ear Headphones.

I also did a review video, have a look here:

P7 First Impressions

These headphones come in a nice simple box, once i opened the box, he P7’s were sitting pretty, folded in the centre. When i first picked them up, i felt a nice solid weight to them. They did not feel too heavy, but i was able to tell they were quality headphones. Upon closer inspection it was obvious the Bowers & Wilkins P7 Over Ear Headphones were  mainly made of metal, chrome to be exact. The cushioning was wrapped in very soft leather, the cushioning (which is not memory foam) feels somewhat dense but is just perfect when worn.

What really caught my eye on these headphones was the classy style, and shiny chrome finishing all around the P7’s, including very detailed accents on the pivoting joints, and all the way down the cable to the plug. The Bowers & Wilkins P7 Over Ear Headphones are oozing with style, but they are not overwhelming. The headband on the P7’s extends very smoothly, to adjust to head size. At first i thought the cable was not removable, but I was told otherwise by a fellow YouTuber. So, I had a closer look and was shocked to see that the ear-cup padding is magnetically attached! I was then able to easily pull it off, exposing the driver underneath and now being able to remove the cable. Pretty cool hidden feature!

High End Audio

What more are we getting with these cool headphones? Well, how about high quality sound! Somewhat to be expected with a pair of Bowers & Wilkins headphones. The audio is very full sounding, not over indulging in any frequency ranges. The sound is very well balanced and would suit almost any genre of music. I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone looking for that extra level up and something special.
